One post, two baby boy cards!

A 5x5 inch new baby boy card using  LOTV image and sentiment stamps.  The stripy paper is from DCWV and the blue gingham from a Papermania 6x6 pad. I used the little flower punches from QVC and a bit of blue ribbon.  I edged the mats with a dotted pen line.
The insert was made on the computer.

Another new baby boy card but a different colour scheme, I fancied a change from pale blue!  This one is a large 8x8 inch card. The train and sentiment were cut with my New Arrival Cricut cart and the background card is a glittered flower stock from Hunkydory.  I added a few gems and glittered flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I didn't think this needed a lot of fuss!

Another computer generated insert.

Sorry the descriptions are brief, time is short at the moment!

Sketch Saturday Challenge - #198

This is the card I made this week for a workfriend's birthday this Saturday, hope he's not looking!
I used a KennyK download image which I coloured and decoupaged.  I highlighted it with glossy accents.
The dp is from my stash (had it years and not used it, I think it was from Dovecraft, computer sentiment and Cricut stars.  Short and sweet as it's bedtime, sorry!!!

I'd like to enter it into Sketch Saturday's Challenge  #198

Leaving to have a baby x2

Here are the two cards I made this week for two associates who both left work on Friday.  They're large 8x8 cards so that all the staff could write a message. Both use a digi image from Bugaboo which I paper pieced and coloured with my usual pens!  I used Spellbinders Labels 20 for the mounts, my Cricut for the embellishments and various flowers and gems from my stash.  I haven't used flat flowers for ages, I love Wild Orchid Crafts flowers but they are such a devil to get in an envelope!!  As you can see one recipient was blonde and the other dark brown with olive skin!

ps.  One of them knows she is having a baby girl! :)

Totally Papercrafts - Friday Challenge #107 - My favourite Things.

I was asked to make a card for a friend's girlfriend and thought why not combine it with a challenge so here it is.  Totally Papercrafts challenge this Friday is called My Favourite Things and my most favourite crafting things ever (apart from my hubby who never moans at the amount I spend!) are my Penny Black stamps and my love of making cards which are a little different.  I love this stamp 'Duckling', it's so easy to colour and lends itself to decoupage too. I used Promarkers again and glossy accents on the decoupaged feet and bill.  I've mounted it on a Spellbinders die - Parisian Motifs.
The dp is from a set I got from DCWV.  This is an easel card set on a four drawer box which is covered with matching DCWV papers.  I used a border punch to decorate the base.  I thought my friend could put some little surprise pressies in the drawers!!

More Cards!!

This is for my friend's birthday.  The stamp is from Imagination Crafts - Decoupage range. I stamped and coloured the image and then triple embossed it with clear powder to make a tile.  The large butterfly was then stamped and glittered on acetate.  The mat was cut on my Cricut.  I love this card and was proud to give it to my friend who is also a fellow crafter so it had to be a good one!! lol

A double easel card using my Cricut New Arrival cart.  The dp was from a really old CD I have from Bearly Mine.

A quick and simple get well card for our school cleaner using a free set of stamps from Cards and Papercraft magazine.  I dug out my old Sakura pens to colour the flowers.  The border is a Clarity corner which was in their sale.

Messing about with Sheena Douglass stamps and distress inks and my old H2O paints.  I saw Sheena show this technique of using the the paints directly onto the stamp for the background and then spritzing it with water.  The main image is embossed and painted directly with H2O's.
Another simple card using a cuttlebug folder, gems and a Kanban greeting.

This was a comission for my hubby's friend - using a Click, Print, Go, My Craft Studio CD.  I buy these and hardly ever use them!!  I used my Cricut for the name and numbers.

Back to basics on this one - it was a comission for a 60th Birthday and I was asked for pastel colours so I fetched out one of my under used medallion stamps.  I remember when these were really popular.  This one is so pretty though, it has a lovely rose design. I simply embossed it with gold wow powder.

A large A4 card for our school computer tech who is poorly at the moment.  I love this image as it's him to a 't'.  It's a Mo Manning digi called Computer Guy which I coloured with Promarkers.  Being a digi I could make it large enough to go on an A4 card.  I used my Cricut for the greeting.  I made the dp from our school logo using a Card Creations Master Card Builder CD.

Cricut and Sizzix come together for this comission for a friend's parent's anniversary.

Another friend's birthday and another set of Imagination Crafts stamps, a Prima butterfly and Spellbinders dies.  The dp is embossed with gold flourishes and I added a trail of gems.

My New Year Resolution!

Hello campers!

Happy New Year everyone, Gosh... it's so long since I've been here!  I really don't get much time to post my cards and crafty makes lately but at the start of this new year I've decided to try and make a supreme effort to post a card each week!!  (We'll see :) !! )
I have made loads of cards since I was here last and will try and show some of them later in the year. Anyway for now I have had to  make a card for my Auntie's birthday so I thought why not make a challenge card, so here it is:

I have used:
Papers from My Mind's Eye (Spring Paper pad - free from a magazine), Image from a free stamp set from Cardmaking and Papercrafts magazine, coloured with Promarkers and Glossy Accents. Flowers from my craft cupboard, the yellow felt ones are recycled from a card I was given!  The ribbon is from a Marks and Spencer party cake which we had (or which I mainly ate all myself) at Christmas!!  Sentiment from Kanban. Pearly doodles and pearls to decorate.

I'd like to enter it into 3 challenges this week.

1. Sketch Saturday #189  for the sketch

2. Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge  - Let Them Eat Cake   ........  (I did, I put on 10lbs this Xmas
holiday!!!)  .. for the image.

3. Sweet Stampin' ....... Spots and Dots  .... for the papers.

Off to wash up the dinner things before Sherlock starts now.  It's great to be back, let's hope I can keep visiting!!

Mo Manning and an apology!!

Gosh!! It's soooo long since I was here - I'm sorry for neglecting my little blog but I just haven't got round to updating it lately.  I am still here and crafting away, I have loads of projects to upload as well as all the holiday photos.  I had a fantastic summer holiday in Tuscany and an equally fantastic week in Derbyshire this summer. I've been busy crafting away too but am now back in the rut of school and work and the time just flies by.  I have big apologies to make to my lovely Penny Black friends (you know who you are!) as I've missed so many Birthday celebrations lately.  I do intend to make up for this soon - I've just been a rubbish friend this year!!
Anyway, before I go again here's a little card I made using a Mo Manning digi stamp 'Celebrate'.  I used my trusty Promarkers and loads of glitter!  The dp is Basic Grey ( a piece I had laying around) and the sentiment is LOTV. I cut the banner on my Cricut and used Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to finish it off.  Hope this will keep you going for a day or so, will try and post a few more this week.  So sorry again,

New Home Announcements

This is a set of new home cards for my aunt who is moving, using these digi stamps from digisparkle.  I added the sentiment with the computer.  I used my Promarkers to colour them and highlighted parts with glossy accents.  I printed the insides on the computer ( it took ages to get it all lined up!) and made a wallet to put them in.

Dimension Fourth MIce

Here's a little 6inch square card made using Autumnal: Gold and Brown stamps from Dimension Fourth.  I stamped the mice on the corn image (aren't they cute) coloured them with Promarkers and used glossy accents on the corn.  I used distress ink around the edges and mounted it on gold mirri.  The card itself is stamped with leaves and embossed with copper WOW embossing powder and then coloured with distress inks then rubbed over with ink using cut and dry foam.  I printed the sentiment directly onto the image using my  Xyron Design Runner.

Bugaboo Easel

Sentiment and image a download from Bugaboo Stamps coloured with Promarkers and glossy accents.  The flowers are Nellie Snellen punches and the leaves are Martha Stewart.  This was for my Headteacher who has been getting a bit stressed with her male colleagues of late!!

21st Birthday

This is another Kenny K Download.  I paper pieced the image using My Mind's Eye papers and finished it with Promarkers and glitter.  The letters are cut on my trusty Cricut and the sentiment is from Kanban.

Funky Hand Wobble Card - Thanks

My new Funky Hand Cd arrived today and I couldn't resist having a quick play!  I used it to make a thank you card for a friend who has given me some craft stickers. The base card is printed from the cd using the new template feature, the image is a Heather Ellis download which I've paper pieced with paper from the cd and coloured with Promarkers (how do you folks keep in the lines!) Prima flowers mixed with Wild Orchid Crafts roses and Nellie Snellen punched leaves embellish it along with a few pearls and stickles.  The ticket is a stamp from Whimsy Stamps and the sentiment is from Elzybells (now closed :( ) I've added a couple of punched butterflies to fill a gap.
