Samantha's Wedding Card

A crafting friend got married recently and this is the A5 card I made. The stamped image is the bride from Whiff of Joy, my first WoJ stamp. I used the masking technique to place her on a Whiff of Joy swing. Both were coloured with Promarkers. I used a rectangle nestability to partially cut her out. I cut two mats from silver card and papermania rose paper, embossed the silver one with my cuttlebug 'Tapestry' folder and mounted her on top. The monograms are cut from my 'Tie the Knot' cartridge on the Cricut. I trimmed the bottom with lace from Hobbycraft and used a computer generated sentiment mounted on a piece of Lattice diecut from a Spellbinders die. I used pearls, hobbycraft and wild orchid crafts flowers and diamond stickles to finish.

A special wedding card

I had a request from a friend to make a card for her to give to her husband on their wedding day - what a responsibility. The flowers and embellishments are mounted on a Spellbinders Lattice die-cut in white pearl card. This is mounted on a white card panel with Martha Stewart Scalloped Dot borders trimmed with ribbon from Hobbycrafts. This is matted onto silver card and trimmed with embossed punched hearts, cream pearl hearts and pearls. The sentiment is computer generated and cut with an oval nestability and mounted on a small die cut from the Lattice set. I made a box for it from Kanban white embossed card which was tied with ribbon. She loved it, thank goodness!

Retirement Card

This is a HUGE A3 card (it's even slightly bigger than that!) which I made for all the staff at my school to sign for a teaching assistant colleague who retired this summer. I used a photograph of the school hall as a background for the staff. The teaching staff are on the front and the support staff on the back (there are two missing hence the gap on the right, I've added them since). Can you spot me on the back? lol

I photographed everyone in school and then asked my Yr6 class to draw everyone. I printed out the photos and then stuck them to the bodies and cut them out. It really made me giggle seeing how we all came out. There is definitely some artistic licence at work here!! The finished card was trimmed with gold ribbon.

Polka Doodle New Home

Here's a simple DL new home card made from Polka Doodle's Back to Nature Cd. I just printed out the image, stuck it on some backing paper from the cd and added some glitter, gems, peeloffs and a prima flower. A very simple card.

Another wedding card

Another card for a wedding. This is an 8inch cream square card. I've used the sizzix embossed cake again on a nestability oval matted onto a cuttlebug 'birds' embossed rectangle. The flowers are from Prima with tiny rose centres from WOC. I've used ribbon from Hobbycrafts and pearls to finish. The sentiment is printed on the computer, cut with a nestability die and matted onto a die cut shape from a spellbinders Lattice die.

Another Chemistry Card.

This is a large A4 retirement card made for my husband's colleague retiring after 32 years of teaching. He likes vintage so I found a picture for the backing paper and decoupaged an old chemistry set print. The atom and microscopes were cut on the Cricut. The photo won't turn round, sorry!

Simple Retirement

This is a retirement card for a lab technician at my husband's school, apparently he liked to read the Rapid Catalogue all day!! The words are cut on the Cricut.

Chemistry Thanks!

This is a thank you card for one of my hubby's colleagues (a chemistry teacher). The bp is the periodic table and the sentiment and atom diagram are cut on the Cricut. It was for a lady - hence the pink!! Gems and a pearl finish it off!

Popcorn Kids - Sending Hugs!

I made this card using the Popcorn Kids Cd from Crafter's Companion. It's just a simple pyramage card with flower embellishments and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards. It was for a very dear friend who's having a bad time at the moment.

Tomorrow Night!

Well that's all for tonight, if you scroll down a couple of pages until June you'll see all the new things I've added tonight. I have at least another seven more to add so will get on to them tomorrow. I have to pop into work tomorrow to catch up on all the jobs I couldn't do when the children were in but will try and update again in the evening. Hope you have all enjoyed looking at these so far, catch you later.......

Wedding Card No3

Another A4 card in a cream and white theme to go with the cream Tilly cake. The embossed cake is part of the Sizzix Wedding embossing folder set this time on an oval Nestability and a Cuttlebug heart embossed panel. The sentiment is cut on the Cricut and the border is my Martha Stewart deep punch. I used a piece of ribbon and heart punches from Hobbycrafts and I made a bouquet from Wild Orchid Crafts roses. The bird is from Handy Hippo, isn't it pretty. I used pearls and gems to finish.

Wedding Card No2

Another large A4 card this time to go withe the red and white Tilly cake. I've used the same elements as the last one but in a different way. The top border is a MS butterfly border punch. The heart is punched out and embossed with a sizzix heart and matted on a nestie. The small heart punch and the rose is from Hobbycraft. I used taupe pearls on this one. Monograms as before.

Wedding Card No 1

This is a large A4 card for the staff at school to sign. This one goes with the car. The large sentiment is a Sizzix embossing folder (A6) from a Wedding set which I used through my cuttlebug. The monograms are cut on the Cricut using the 'Tie the Knot' cartridge. The borders are a Martha Sterwart deep border punch - lattice border and a MS heart border. I used lace and ribbon down the edge and a fabric covered chipboard bird and pearls to finish. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - I just love them.

Colin Car

Here's the third wedding item I made recently. There are 3 staff members getting married this summer in our school. This is my second Colin Car from Arty Farty and this time it's in West Ham Utd colours for our Deputy Head. He liked it so much he's going to put it on the top table at the wedding! It's decorated with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Tilly Cake No 2

This is the second cake with a cream and white theme this time. The photos aren't great again but you get the idea. I'm going to make a Golden Wedding themed one next. I used Kanban embossed card again, it comes in cream or white in 12x12 card and is absolutely gorgeous.

Tilly Wedding Cake No1.

I have made two of these so far and loved every minute of it. This one has a red and white theme, the wedding colours. I used Kanban embossed card for the cakes and then just embellished them with ribbons, flowers and hearts. You can go to town on the embellishments. I used Pinflair glue gel to glue them on. I used peel offs on the box. The template is from Arty Farty and was easy to make. They come out of the box but I didn't have time to photograph them as it's fiddly to get them back in. The sentiment on the box has the bride and groom's names and the wedding date. I cut the Mr & Mrs tag on the Cricut.
