And today's garden visitor is.........

Foxy Chops!!
This little foxy was in our garden at about 11ock this morning, soaking up the sun. He decided to leave when he noticed he was on candid camera. Poor thing didn't look too well, though, so glad he didn't stay long. He was definitely underweight and scraggy. Usually they are tucked up somewhere at this time of the day. Still apart from the germs etc it's nice to see a bit of wildlife in a city garden!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #3

Here's my second challenge card. It's the first time I've used Promarkers so I don't think the colouring is up to my usual standard. I've ordered some pastel ones as these seemed a little harsh. I only have dark colours at the moment so I found it a problem blending them. Still you live and learn.
The stamp is from Stampabilities - a Happy Hopper called 'Hop-It Bumble' No HMLR1044. The backing paper is 'Brenda Pinnick's' and I used the Cuttlebug Swirls folder on the punched shapes. Scallop edge to the image is Martha Stewart's 'Scalloped Circle' border punch and 'crooked' ribbon is from Hobbycraft!! lol
Thanks for looking.

Crafty Going's On Copic Pen Candy! "I am a duck, really!!"

Here's my card, couldn't leave a proper comment just a link 'cos I'm not too good at blogging yet! Superb Candy offer though. I made this little card a while ago for a challenge that needed a duck image. As I didn't have one I had to make do! Have entered it for the blog candy even though it's a really simple card just because 'I' love it. I called it "I am a duck-really!"

Helen's Blog Candy!

If you pop over to Helen's blog, you'll find some lovely blog candy there which she's giving away. She has a great blog and adds loads of new cards each week so there's always something new and interesting to look at. Thanks Helen.

Happy Mother's Day!

Here's a picture of my lovely Mum who I lost in November 2006. Happy Mother's Day Mum, love you.

A 'GAG' Award!

Look what my lovely friend Carol has given me:

I'm sure her hubby isn't that grateful for her enthusiam for all things crafty!! I was Carol's first Friendship Swap partner and it's been a priviledge to see her cards and style develop over the last two years into something really special. She makes so many these days it puts mine to shame!

Well done Carol and thanks for thinking of me.

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #2

As I had to make a card for a poorly friend I thought I'd have a go at a challenge card (my first as a blogger) so this is it. I've used the basic design but changed it a bit! What do you think?
It's A5 in size, backing paper is DCWV Matchmakers 'The Paper Stack', Stamped image 'Shy Hedgehog' Penny Black, 'Hugs' sentiment Penny Black (I masked out the Happy Birthday) and the Get Well Soon is from HOTP. The flowers are from Poppycrafts and the brads are Papermania. I hand doodled around each section(can't you just tell!) The challenge was to make buttons, these are covered with glossy accents.
Going to try and make a link to the challenge now! lol That'll be a challenge in itself!

March DC Friendship Swap.

Well I'm quick off the mark this month! This is March's friendship swap card for the DoCraft Forum. The extra challenge this month was to use flowers.
I made the main flower by folding bazzil card which I cut with the cuttlebug using my petite scalloped nestability circles. These were also embossed with the DeVine Swirls folder and inked with a Whispers Sepia pad. The other flowers are from Prima. I also used:
Stamped image - Tilda, Dovecraft backing paper and Basic Grey Recess paper, Martha Stewart Scalloped Dot border punch, Laura Ashley sticky ribbons and the sentiment was stamped using Studio G mini alphabet stamps.
The flower in more detail.
Close-up.
You can find the instructions for the flower here:
Thanks for looking.

Afternoon Visitor!

Harry Potter Eat Your Heart Out!!

In honour of World Book Day my school had a fancy dress day today. The theme was to dress up as your favourite character from a book! Well as I'm a big Harry Potter fan (in more ways than one) I thought this would be fairly simple! What do you think? Seeing the photos though, there's one thing I would do if my wand was real and that would be to 'expelliamus' a few of those chins!!! lol

Card for an 'Oldie!'

Here is a card I made for a friend's husband's Birthday. The image is a stamp from 'Impressions' Original Stamps No K-1239 coloured with watercolours. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions Murray and Ethel Set 1. These were both mounted on panels cut with Nestabilities Labels Two. Background paper from Basic Grey, Archaic, punched with a Martha Stewart Scalloped dot punch.
