Miss Anya Birthday.

This card is for a friend's birthday. I've used a Miss Anya image and coloured her with Promarkers again. I love these pens but do find it so hard to keep in the lines as the ends are not that fine!! It's cut out with a nestie and inked around the edge with Antique Linen distress ink. The trees, leaves, cut- out flowers etc are from Cricut cartridge 'Life is a Beach', one of my favs. There are so many lovely things on this one. Bp is from DCWV (I used a piece with a photo of sea and sand) A few odd flowers and card candy finishes it off.

Lily-Boo-Too May Challenge

Well here's my last challenge card for today and many thanks for the kind comments I've received on the others - I'm quite enjoying being off work now and could easily get used to it. Luckily it's half term next week so I may be able to make a few more then too!! This one is for the Lily-Boo Too May card challenge. It had to be a shaped card so I cut out a butterfly with my trusty Cricut (getting to be a bit of a pattern developing here!! lol) from Gypsy Wanderings and two mats (bp Papermania - Sweet Nothings as before). I couldn't make it bigger as I've only got a C.Create, now I'm really wanting an Expression for the bigger cutting mat!! The image is a Lily Boo freebie which I coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with diamond stickles and glossy accents. I cut it out on my Cuttlebug (it's been gathering dust lately, ahh!!) and sponged around the edge while it was still in the die with Milled Lavender distress ink. I embellished the card with flowers using those little QVC punches which I love as well. A Craftwork Cards sentiment finishes it off with a little gem in her hair!

Just Cute Bears Challenge No18

I'm resting really!! Here's another card I've made today. As I don't often enter challenges I thought I'd enter a couple this month. This one is for 'Just Cute Bears'. The sketch by Bev was just darling to work with. The bear in the teacup is a digi download from Cuddly Buddly and I've used a teacup as a mat which I cut using my 'Beyond Birthdays' Cricut cartridge. (I'd recommend that if you can afford one put a Cricut on your xmas list - I'm loving mine!) I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the blue card and punched again in pink and glued in the little hearts. The ribbon flowers came from Poppicrafts (so sad they've closed) The bp is from Papermania - Sweet Nothings, sentiment from Craftwork Cards and pearls complete the card. I hope it qualifies as I've not done many challenge cards.

Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge - May

While I've been off work this last week I've been doing a bit of surfing and I've discovered this lovely blog by Dustin Pike creator of Doodle Dragon Studios. He is a very talented artist and has been chosen by High Hopes Stamps to design some images for them (so he must be good!). There are loads of free digi images on his blog which are lovely and still available to everyone - which is so kind of him. I decided to enter his May challenge and have used a free image of Dudley, his dragon. I was really scared about colouring him in as I don't think I can do him justice, especially when the challenge is set by his 'Dad'!! lol

Anyway, I've used promarkers and copics and combined him with a cake cut from my Cricut 'Celebrations' cartridge. I hope Dustin likes him!! I am entering him in the Doodle Dragon Studios Challenge for May.

I'm giving it to a work colleague for his daughter's 2nd birthday.

Going Nautical with Hobby Art!

I adore these stamps and have used the 3 little cottages to make a harbour scene on these easel cards as shown by Jenny on Create and Craft. I masked them loads of times so I could make a little town!! I used my promarkers to colour the scene. Reminds me of our Cornwall holidays. I coloured the houses differently on each card and added glossy accents to highlight different parts. The frame is from Gypsy Wanderings and I welded the little boat to the edge using the Gypsy. The insides were made using the Gypsy to weld together a whale border and I think the lighthouse came from 'Life is a Beach'. I really love the seaside theme to these and can see me using these stamps a lot - 'Harbour Scene-Its' from Hobby Art.

Another LOTV Card!

Here's another using 'Celebrations'. I had loads of frames that I cut when I was messing around so used them on here. I've used those little flowers again - getting predictable now, lol and some pearly doodles around the frame and greeting - these have got a bit squashed though as I stood it in a pile with some others, d'oh!!

Thank you all....

.... for your kind comments, I'm sorry I don't comment on many of your blogs, I do look and turn very green over all your beautiful cards though, just smack my wrists, I will try and comment more seeing as you take the trouble to give me some. I've a couple more to photograph tomorrow so will add them then. It's great being on the sick, just hope that I don't feel like going into work at the start of next week 'cos I find it so hard to be off - mad 'aint I !! Off to see who's won the part of Dorothy now!!

Cricut Hydrangea Cards.

These decoupage Hydrangeas are cut from my Cricut 'Walk in my Garden' cartridge, don't you just love them, I do. I made these two cards as a tryout with my Cricut. I wasn't sure about making cards without stamped images as I love colouring and stamping but I think these two came out ok. The butterflies came pre-loaded on the Gypsy (Gypsy Wanderings). I cut several and mounted them together. The burgundy flower paper is from a HOTP 8x8 Vintage pad, distressed with Tim Holtz ink and the green is from My Mind's Eye. I used tiny pearls on the burgundy one and little gems on the green one. The flourishes are cut from the Storybook cartridge. I just love the Cricut, there's so much to use if I only had more time to spare!

LOTV Birthday card.

Here's another using the little Thomas the Cat stamp from LOTV. This time he's beige!! More little flowers again with Stickles and frames cut on the Cricut (I have to use all the bits I keep cutting out! lol)

Lili of the Valley Easel card No2.

Made for a work colleague using LOTV stamp 'Celebrations' coloured again with Promarkers and Copics. The bp is from Dovecraft and I used yellow card to contrast with the grey and pink with a Cricut frame and a Martha Stewart border. I've used those little flower punches from QVC again, a set of 10, the smallest ones are adorable and the little leaves are so cute.

Lily of the Valley Easel Card. No1.

Another PBFC friend's birthday card this time using Lili of the Valley's 'Fairy Tiptoe' stamp again coloured with Promarkers and Copics. I like to use both for the colour range. The backing paper is again from Basic Grey and the greeting from Craftwork Cards. I used my Martha Stewart Scalloped Dot punch for the borders. The scalloped circles are cut on the Cricut and the greeting is cut using the Storybook cartridge. I made my own flower embellishments using my QVC flower punches.

I like riding on my bike!

Here's the card I made for a PBFC friend's birthday- I love this jolly little hedgehog 'Hedge Delivery' from Penny Black. The bp is from Basic Grey and I cut the mount on my Cricut. I used a little flower punch to embellish it along with Prima hydrangea flowers. The image is coloured with Promarkers and glazed with glossy accents. The greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

Wallace and Gromit!

A simple cut and stick card for my Brother's birthday using the diecuts and paper from 'Lets Make Cards' magazine. Both he and I are great fans of the awesome twosome.

Confessions of a lapsed blogger!!

Hi folks, feeling very guilty as I've not been here at all this month especially since I discovered the joys of owning a Cricut and Gypsy. I have been doing things and will endeavour to put some of them on here for you to see. I'm also feeling guilty as I've had a small op this week (Thurs) and have been given a sick note for two whole weeks by the surgeon!! I think he just signed what the nurse put in front of him!! I don't feel I can take all this time off school but it will be half term in a week anyway! Thinking of all the lovely time I could spend crafting though, oh decisions, decisions!! lol

Anyway I have a few photos to upload and a few cards to add so will go and sort them out and get them on here as soon as possible. It's a gorgeous day here in the Midlands too, let's hope that's the start to a great summer. Incidentally Blackpool have just been promoted into the Premiership, well done Seasiders!
