First visit to blog this week - New Home Card.
This is a simple New Home card made for a fellow crafter. The image is called 'Over the Meadow' by Inca Stamps. I watercoloured it and then embossed it all over twice with a clear powder. The sentiment circle I made using word and the scalloped background was a rectangular Nestie which I punched holes in ( a bit squiffily I might add!!). The ribbon was a bargain 99p for 5 metres from Hobbycraft!

I made two cards today!
Well, I managed to make two cards today when I should have been helping hubby put up the wallpaper! Glad he didn't mind too much!
The first is my Docrafts February Friendship Swap card made for Liza31. The stamp is a Stampabilities Happy Hopper called 'Carrot Juice'. The sentiment is from HOTP. The flower is from Poppicrafts and I used my new label Nestabilities. The paper was a bit of free paper from a magazine that I had left over, I thought it was just the right colours. I used glossy accents on the jar.
The second is a little card I made for a friend who is struggling with arthritis at the moment. I used the Nestabilities again and the image is from Louise's 'Cats' collection, a download from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I printed the sentiment on the computer.
Got to go and clear up the mess now, you wouldn't think just two cards could make so much mess!! lol

Blog Header - I give up!
Morning, have fiddled a bit more with my header but think I'll leave it at that until my computer expert (No 1 son) pops home for a weekend visit! At least I made it MYSELF!!
Just spent nearly an hour trying to create a custom blog header!! Not too good, methinks, but I'll leave it there until I have sussed out Photoshop better. I need to make it wider somehow. Not sure how I did this anyway!! Off up the wooden hill and down sheet lane now so it will have to wait. Oh the joys of having a computer, sometimes I wish I 'was' a computer nerd!!

My lovely friends Helen and Pauline gave 'me' an award!
Isn't it kind of them to pass an award on to me - just shows what nice friends I have, thanks girls. Just wish my blog was as good as theirs. I suppose it would help if I made a few more cards instead of sitting here at the computer for hours - d'oh!
I got some new stamps today from a small papercrafts show near me - a set of inches from Inkadinkadoo: http://www.inkadinkado.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=23&idproduct=702 which I thought would make men's cards, a set of label Nesties (labels two) and a couple of shirt and tie stamps from Dimension Fourth http://www.dimensionfourthltd.co.uk/index1.html (small shirt and tie and a set of ties).
Now all I have to do is USE them!!

Valentine's Birthday.
I've made this card for my Sister in Laws Birthday which is on Valentine's day. The stamp is a Happy Hopper called Happy Valentine's. Our Umax scanner packed up before Christmas and we have a Canon one now but it's not half as good - any 3D element on a card makes the main image out of focus!
Been and had my filling today and it wasn't half as bad as I had anticipated. Haven't got to go for six months now - whoopee!

Snow Fun Today!
A bit blurry but I'm ready for the off!
Going!
Gone!
(We didn't go very far as the snow wasn't very deep!)
Snow!
Here is our back garden on Monday with what we had hoped would be a decent fall of snow.
Spot the difference!
Here's our back garden today!
We were disappointed with Monday's feeble effort which meant that both me and hubby had to go to work while half the country stayed at home but we got up this morning to a lovely carpet of white and a phone call to say our schools were closed..yay!!
More good news, my dentists is closed today too so I can't have my filling until Saturday - fingers crossed for more snow then, ha ha!!
